My name is Riki, and I live in the small town of Alsager on the North Staffordshire / South Cheshire border.
I have had a strong interest in radio ever since I had a Midland 2001, a small antenna, and a motorcycle battery strapped to my go-cart as a small child, and this grew into an interest in electronics and computers also.
After many years on CB, I decided to take the Foundation Exam in 2003, and then progressed to the Intermediate Exam soon after, I do plan on sitting the Full Exam sometime soon.
I am active on many modes across the following bands,
80m/40m/20m/17m/15m/12m/10m/6m/2m/70cm/23cm
I am starting to enjoy FT-8 at the moment, and even operate FT-8 while static mobile, via a U5 Link interface and an old laptop.
